Another $50 down the drain but lets see what i can do about it. Google it.
It seems that 360's are eating disks. this is not a good thing, Bill.
So here is what I found on the web.
You either eliminate the scratch or you prevent your games no longer et scratched. The second solution is to go get disk armor at www.disk-armor.com. It costs about a buck and you peel off the plastic shield and put it on the disk. Leave it on and its protected. If you disk gets scratched the shield gets damaged and you just replace the shield. Not a bad deal for a buck.
If you have a scratch there are several options. Sometimes the store which sold you the disk will "clean it" for about $10 bucks. You can also use toothpaste or a banana.
put toothpaste on the disk, spread it around and leave it on for about 5 minutes. then wash it out. You can also use pledge. Make sure you use one of those microscopic cloth, the kind to clean eyeglasses.
You can also use a banana. Go to the fruit bowl. You can also watch this banana dvd cleaning video at http://lifehacker.com/software/macgyver-tip/clean-a-scratched-cd-or-dvd-with-a-banana-289578.php
I personallyhttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gif bought and will use the disk armor product, its guaranteed for life and for only a buck its better to be safe vs sorry. Again, here is disk armor link www.disk-armor.com.

Yeah I'd like to see these "CD Condoms" do their thing. What people don't know is that if you scratch a vinyl record (remember those) you're scratching grooves so big you can see them so there aren't that many in an inch - but on laser media like CD's or DVD's a scratch can cover thousands of tracks - doing much more damage.
What this means is that no matter what the manufacturers say, CD's are at higher risk than Vinyl. Plus people handle CD's like crap cause they think they're indestructible - but they're very scratchable.
What really gets me nuts is when you're watching a movie and there's maybe 10 or 15 minutes left and then zzztt kkkkk zzzt. Meg Ryan frozen and vibrating. *!%%$#@!!!!! So first you eject the disc, breathe moisture on it and rub hard on your shirt. Back in the player and, assuming the piece of crap hasn't lost the bookmark - there's Meg, vibrating. OK out again - this time under the kitchen sink for some car polish or soft scrub and you try to rub out the scratch. Wipe well so you don't get goo in the laser and maybe 1 time out of three or four - it works. For a minute. And then zzztt kkkkk zzzt. By this time the person you were watching that Romantic Comedy with is no longer in whatever mood the picture was supposed to get them.
We all know these silvery discs are obsolete - but we're stuck with them for the near future. So if somebody's got CD condoms that work and are cheap, sign me up.
